Harmonia is a mobile app developed by Amrezo Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how your data is handled. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it’s stored, and how it’s used—especially emphasizing our commitment to on-device storage and HIPAA-compliant AI services.

1. Data We Collect

We only collect data that supports your experience in the app. This includes manually entered information like mood check-ins, sleep logs, and journal entries. If enabled, we also collect passive health metrics like step count or screen time from Apple Health. All of this data is stored locally on your device and never shared without your consent.

We do not collect your name, email, location, or any personal identifiers. We do not track you across apps or serve ads.

2. Where Your Data Lives

By default, all of your data is stored securely on your device using Apple’s encrypted storage.

If you enable iCloud Sync in the app settings, your data is backed up and synced using Apple’s infrastructure. This sync is end-to-end encrypted and tied to your personal Apple ID. We do not have access to any iCloud data.

3. Advanced AI Chat (Optional)

If you choose to use Harmonia’s Advanced AI Chat (Cloud AI), your inputs are sent securely to OpenAI’s HIPAA-compliant platform under a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA). These conversations are processed solely to generate a response and are not stored or used for model training. The resulting AI chats are saved locally on your device and are never accessible to us.

If you don’t use the AI Chat feature, no data is sent to OpenAI or any third-party service.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to power core app features, deliver insights, and improve your overall user experience. AI features are entirely optional and require your consent. We also collect anonymized, aggregated usage data (such as which features are being used) to improve the app, but this data cannot be linked back to you.

We do not sell or share your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You are in full control of your data. You can:

Enable or disable iCloud Sync and AI Chat at any time.
Export or delete all of your data from within the app’s Settings.
Contact us at amr@harmonia.care if you’d like to access, correct, or delete your data manually.

We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable data protection regulations.

6. Security Measures

Your local data is encrypted using industry-standard security practices. If you use iCloud, your data benefits from Apple’s secure cloud architecture. All data transmissions, including to our AI provider, are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Our AI partner, OpenAI, is under a signed HIPAA Business Associate Agreement.

7. Data Retention

We store your local data only on your device for as long as you keep it. If you enable iCloud Sync, Apple retains your data according to your iCloud settings. AI chat history is stored locally and never shared. Aggregated analytics data is kept for up to 24 months to help us improve the app.

8. Children

Harmonia is not intended for children under the age of 16, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant updates will be announced in the app. Continued use of Harmonia after changes means you accept the updated terms.
